Game Overview

Hidden Project is a restored, persistent 2D browser MMORPG based on the 2014-era client. You create one character, enter shared map rooms, speak with NPCs, complete quests, fight monsters and collect equipment. Character progress is stored on the server, so levels, class ranks, inventory, currencies and quest progress remain after you leave.

What is the goal?

There is no single final match to win. The long-term game is built around several connected goals:

  • raise your character from level 1 to the current level cap of 75;
  • rank individual classes and unlock their combat skills;
  • complete working quest chains and open access to their rewards;
  • obtain armor, weapons, helms, capes, pets and useful materials;
  • build faction reputation and unlock rank-gated rewards;
  • explore the maps that have been restored and verified on the live server.

The current XP curve is intentionally long-term. It targets roughly 750 hours when compared with the older progression estimate, although actual playtime depends on the content, party size and reward rates used.

The basic game loop

  1. Enter a public or private room through a map transfer.
  2. Speak to an NPC and read the requirements before accepting a quest.
  3. Select monsters and use your numbered class skills in combat.
  4. Resolve item-drop prompts and keep only the rewards you want.
  5. Return to the quest source, turn in the requirements and collect the reward.
  6. Equip upgrades, bank spare items and continue to the next quest or map.

Progression systems

Character XP raises your account-wide level. Class points raise only the equipped class. Reputation belongs to a faction. These are separate systems: earning one does not automatically raise the others. Gold and RoyalCoins are currencies rather than progression points.

Restoration status

Hidden Project combines archived content with repaired server code and modern browser integration. A database row or SWF file does not automatically mean that content is reachable. The wiki therefore marks the difference between archived, linked, reachable, playable and fully verified content. Start with Getting Started, then use Content Verification Status before planning a long quest or farming route.
